Successful multi-color tattoo removal requires a high powered laser that can deliver enough energy within the absorption spectrum of a wide range of colors. The 1064nm wavelengthlaser is ideal for treating darker ink colors (black, blue and green), while the 532nm wavelength is effective for brighter ink colors (red, orange and yellow).

This treatment is particularly indicated for people who desire to remove completely or partially their own tattoo, it is possible on almost any body areas.
The duration of the treatment depends on the dimensions and the colors of the tattoo. For small to middle dimensions’ tattoos, the session only lasts few minutes. Multicolored and large dimensions’ tattoos may require a minimum of 10 to 30 minutes or more.
The number of treatments may vary according to several criteria like the skin type, the color (including the amount of ink), the position, the age and the dimensions of the tattoo and the possible presence of scars. An average of 4 to 8 sessions at 45 days interval between each treatment are necessary for the complete pigment’s removal and excellent aesthetic results as well as safety.
The pain is similar to the process of tattooing. Discuss with your doctor whether you need to apply external anesthetics to alleviate the discomfort.
The most common temporary effect is the appearance of a white veil on the treated skin called “frosting”, for about 20 minutes, followed by an oedema associated to skin redness lasting for 4 to 7 days.
The variation will be progressive and the colors will fade treatment by treatment. The final result will be visible after some months from the last session.
